On the 30th March, the girls played their final league match of the year at Windermere School.
On a beautifully sunny afternoon, the girls played excellently. Looking for space to run into, they passed the ball well and controlled the whole game from start to finish. Our goal was never troubled due to an excellent team and defensive effort throughout. Furthermore, we scored 2 brilliant goals, one either side of half time, to win the game 2 - 0.
A massive well done must go out to the team and all the girls who played in the team or came to training this year. the girls have worked incredibly hard at their football skills this year and have made such progress making it very hard to pick a team. We have had our best season, since i have taken over coaching the team and that is all down to the commitment of the girls and and strong competition for places in the team pushing them all forward. Well done to them all.

Year 5 and year 4 Netball Tournament
On Tuesday 2 teams of year 5s and year 4s went to STAGS to take part in a friendly netball tournament.
The 2 teams were put into separate pools with 4 games to play each. The year 4 team did amazingly as it was their first competition and they really hadn't played much together as a team. Added to which some of the teams they played against were year 5. With some great team spirit, accurate passing and some on form shooting they won 2 games and lost 2 games. Nico won best player for their pool. The children all enjoyed the tournament and had great fun.
The year 5 team also did very well - The Year 5s played 4 games and as this was their first tournament, they played so well as a team. The defence were very strong and made it very difficult for their opponents. The attack worked well together, spotting the spaces for great passing. With determination they won 3 games and only lost one game to the eventual winners. Katy Manson won best player of the pool, voted for by the umpires.
Thank you to the parents for coming to support us.

Muddy Challenge
For the 3rd year in a row we have been invited to the 'Muddy Challenge' at Garden Fields. It remains a favourite with all the children who get to attack the obstacles and of course get very... very muddy if they so choose.
As always the event was organised in aid of Comic/Sport Relief and we thank all the children and parents who made a contribution. We will soon post how much was raised in total when we hear from Mrs Johnson at Garden Fields.
For now however, just enjoy the pictures below.
