Tag Rugby Festival year 5 and 6

On Wednesday we took 3 teams to the St Albans Tag Rugby Festival.  The year 5 team played well, often against year 6 teams, winning 1 game and drawing 2.  The year 6 teams also played well and showed great team spirit, especially when the heavens opened and we were hailed on!   One of the teams reached the semi-final, losing to Garden Fields 6-5, by that time the children were very cold, very wet and some very muddy.
Well done to all the children who took part.

Football match v Wheatfields

On Monday we played Wheatfields in a friendly football match.  Both teams had chances on goal, but unfortunately we just couldn't score.  So final score was 2-0 to Wheatfields.

Netball Tornament 2014

Last Saturday, Yr 6 played in the end of season tournament. They played excellently as a team and demonstrated how well they can move up the court with greater accuracy. Miss Brown would like to say a special thank-you to Aimee Collins and Rachel Magee for stepping in at the last moment. All the girls gave 100% and Miss Brown hopes the girls continue with their netball in secondary school.

Football: St Albans City Cup

On Friday the A team played St Peters in the St Albans City Cup quarter final.  It was a tough game and by the end of the first half it was still 0-0.  In the second half we continued to battle and had a couple of shots on goal, until finally one went in, scored by James.  We held on until the final whistle, winning the game 1-0.
A fantastic result as this means the team are through to the semi-finals to be played at the Clarence park Stadium in May.
Well done boys.

Football result

On Monday the A team had their last league game of the season against Cunninghamhill.  Again a very close match with several scoring opportunities on both sides.   Cunninghamhill scored first, but we battled hard and eventually it paid off and we scored an equaliser.
We still have a cup game to play and the two tournaments.
