Many of the girls who had not had a game thus far this year played and the mood was positive throughout the team. Early in the match we had much of the possession and terrirtory but just could find the cutting edge to get on the score sheet. As we pushed for a goal, we got caught twice on the counter attack and the half ended 2 - nil.
During half time, we concentrated on the positives and made our target to pull at least 1 goal back. Happily mid way through the half after a great run down the wing and cross, we managed to get on the score sheet with a fine strike. Then moments later, with a similar move we scored again to draw the game level.
Unfortunately as we pushed for the win we were caught out again and Killigrew score what turned out to be the winner but the girls played excellently and should be proud of there spirit to fight back from 2 - nil down!
Cant wait until the next match.
