Year 5 football tournament

On Saturday morning our year 5 football team competed in the finals of the St Albans Year 5 Football Tournamant having been succesful in the first round.  The boys had to play 5 matches or 10 minutes.  The first games we won 2 - 0.  Unfortunately we then lost the next 3 games, but won our final game 1 - 0.   All the boys played well and showed a great team spirit.

Girls Football Match

Yesterday the girls played their last football league game of the season against St Peters.  It was a very close and exciting game with quite a few goals.  All the girls played extememly well.  The final score was a well desereved draw 2-2.
We will have to wait and see what our final league position is.   Apart from an end of year tournament that was the last game of the season for the girls.   I have been really proud of the girls, their team spirit and positive attitude in all the games.  They have been a real delight and a credit to the school.
Thank you also to the parents for their support with lifts and more importantly on the side lines.

Year 5 Football Tournament

Congratulations to the year 5 boys who played in the first round of the Year 5 Football Tournament.  They played Fleetville and drew 0-0, then went on to play How Wood, winning 5-0.  This means they go into the final tournament to be held on Saturday.  Great team work by all the boys.

Girls Football match v Skyswood

Earlier this week the girls football team played Skyswood in a league game.  The girls all played very well.  Courtney had a very good game scoring 5 goals, which Ellen scored the other 2. The final score was 7-0 to us.   Well done girls.
