Football match v Wheatfields
On Thursday the A team played a league game against Wheatfields at home. Unfortunately we were down to just 7 players due to injuries so called on Sam, who had just come to watch, to be ready to play if we needed him We played well and there wasn't much between the two teams. Then just before half time Wheatfields scored a very good goal. At half time another of our players had to go off as he felt unwell, so our super- sub came on and played really well. Despite a couple of chances we weren't able to find the goal and Wheatfields went on to win the game 3-0.
St Albans City Cup football match
On Tuesday the A team played against Skyswood in the St Albans City Cup. It was a great game to watch, although a little tense at times! The boys played really well with a lot of determination. After a short break off the pitch Kobi came back on with renewed energy and scored two very good goals in quick succession. Skyswood were able to get one back, but we managed to hold on to win 2-1.
A fantastic result which puts us through to the semi-finals to be played at Clarence Park (St Albans City home ground). Date yet to be given.
Well done boys.

Netball Match
Bernards Heath played against Sandridge on 22.2.2016.
The match started well and Bernards Heath passed accurately. The girls worked well together and the first half ended with Bernards Heath leading convincingly with 8goals to 1! Imogen Brooke and Olivia Swinbank worked really well together and made every shot count.
The second half was dominated by Sandridge who applied the pressure all the way but our team defended well and the final score was 8-6 to Bernards Heath!
Well played girls and we are now training hard for the end of season tournament on the 12th March.

Wix Cup
On Thursday the A team played Cunningham Hill in the semi-final of the Wix Cup. It was, as usual, a very close game with opportunities to score from both teams. Both goalkeepers pulled off some fine saves, but we did manage to put one past their goalkeeper and hold on to our lead for the second half. The final score was 1-0 to us and puts us through to the final against Fleetville on the 8th March.
A great result boys, well done!!

Year 4 Speed Stacking
On
Tuesday 9th February 17 children from year 4 represented the school
in a speed stacking competition. The event was held at Garden Fields against
teams from other schools. The children each completed in two individual and two
team events. Stacking cups in a 3:3:3 and then a 3:6:3 formation. Each
competition was times against the clock. Two of our children came third in one
of the individual events. The girls A team finished 3rd overall and
the boys B team finished 2nd. It was a fiercely fought event and at
the end Bernards Heath did really well to finish 2nd out of 12
teams. Well done to everyone involved.

Herts Primary Schools Cross Country Championships
On Saturday some of our cross country team participated in the Herts Cross Country Championships at Westminster Lodge. Although it was very muddy, which caused a problem for some of our team, it was at least dry for the run. All of our team ran very well over quite a challenging course and should be very proud of their results. (As yet I don't have the official positions)
Well done
