Golf Day
On Tuesday Laurence, the golf pro from Verulam Golf Club, visited the school to take each class for a golf taster session. The children all really enjoyed their opportunity to try out golf and hopefully some of them might like to take it further by taking part in holiday camps run by Verulam Golf Club.
Year 6 Football Tournament
On Wednesday our Year 6 football team went to Cunningham Hill Junior School to take part in the first round of the annual tournament. The boys had 3 games to play. In the first game we were really unlucky as we had held on until the last minute before St Bernadettes managed to score. In the second game we lost 2-1 to Cunningham Hill. Then in the last game we found our scoring boots and won 5-0. Unfortunately we do not go through to the next round.
Thanks to Mr Burgess for refereeing one of the games.

Year 5 hockey Day
On Tuesday Year 5 had their hockey day taken by a coach from St Albans Hockey Club. In the morning each class had a coaching session where they learnt basic skills of hockey. Then in the afternoon we had an inter-house tournament.
All the year groups will be having their own hockey day including a inter-house tournament so I will announce the overall house winners after Easter.

Year 4 Cross Country
On Tuesday a group of Year 4 runners (6 girls and 6 boys) went to Cunningham Hill for a friendly Cross Country event. There were two races, one for the girls and one for the boys, twice round the field, so they ran about 600m. I was very proud of all the children who all ran very fast, infact so fast that both teams finished 2nd overall in their races.
