Year 4 Football matches v Wheatfields
On Friday we took 24, very keen, year 4 footballers to play friendly matches against Wheatfields. All the boys played very well and showed great team spirit throughout the matches. All the games were very close and evenly matched, with the final results: Team 1 lost 5-3, team 2 drew 3-3 and team 3 lost 2-1. Well done to all the boys who played.

Boys football match v Wheatfields
On Thursday the boys played against Wheatfields in a friendly match. It was very cold and our pitch is now very muddy, so it wasn't easy conditions. In the first half we had a few shots on goal but were unable to put them past their keeper. In the second half we came out strongly and battled hard to win the ball, eventually our determination was rewarded with a goal. After that we went from strength to strength with Jake scoring 2 superb goals. The final score was 5 - 0 to us. A great result, which was well deserved.

Girls Football Friendly vs Garden Fields
Last week the girls football team had a friendly match against local school Garden Fields.
The girls played brilliantly in ever worsening light and weather and many girls out of their normal positions as I tried out a new formation. taking a while to gel together the girls went down 1-0, however struck back almost immediately leveling the game at 1-1, Francisca scoring from an assist from Maisy.
The game for the rest of the half was very tense with both teams having good chances, one of which Garden Fields managed to convert moving the score to 2-1. the Girls push on to level again winning a penalty soon after but unfortunately Francisca couldn't add to her tally as the goal keeper made a great save.
In the second half with the rain falling heavier and the light fading both teams struggled to create chances and the game ended 2-1 to Garden Fields. The scorelines are getting closer and closer and I'm sure in the new year the girls will get the result to match their performances.

Year 5 Football Match v Fleetville
On Monday year 5 boys had a friendly football match against Fleetville. All the boys played very well against a tough opposition. Despite a few chances on goal we were unable to score and Fleetville went on to win the match 6-0. I was very proud of the boys as they kept battling to the end.

On Monday 10th November, Maple A and B teams came to Bernards Heath for a league match and a skill improving friendly. Both teams played extremely well but unfortunately the A team lost 4-2 and the B team lost 3-1.Maple were victorious but Bernards heath were pleased with their performance.
Only 3 days later, after they played Maple, the netball team faced Garden Fields. Although both Bernards Heath teams were winning at half time, they unfortunately lost. A team 6-5, a very close game and B team lost 4-3, also very close. After playing amazingly well, the girls hope to win their next match against Abbey.
On the 23rd of November after two unsuccessful attempts, Bernards Heath A and B netball teams managed to win against Abbey school when they came to Bernards Heath. Abbey still played extremely well, but lost. The A team managed to score 3 amazing goals making the overall score 3-0 to Bernards Heath A. The B team also played an extraordinary match and won 4-1.
Well done A and B netball teams!
