The boy's A team played against Fleetville yesterday in a league game. On a very muddy and somewhat water logged pitch the boys played as best they could given the conditions. By the end of the first half Fleetville were leading 3-0. However we were stronger in the 2nd half scoring a great goal and having several attempts. The final score was 4-1 to Fleetville.

Indoor Athletics
Year 6 children took part in the Indoor Athletics Competition at Verulam school on Wednesday. The competition consisted of track and field events, all the children did very well and showed a great team spirit supporting and encouraging others as they competed..

Netball Match V Maple.
On Monday, Maple visited to play 2 matches - one for the league and the other a friendly.
The league match finished with a final score of 1-12 - our goal scored by Maddie. The score does not really show how hard the girls worked but Miss Brown was pleased with their determination and team work.
The friendly match was good experience for most of the team as it was their first match against another school. Mrs Lynch said that they worked hard and again showed some good passing skill although they lost the match.
Well done to both teams.
Our next match is away at Garden Fields on Thursday 30th January - 2 teams.

Sports Ambassadors
Ellen and Matthew are the Year 6 Sports Ambassadors.
We asked Matthew what it means to be the school’s Sports Ambassador, “It’s nice to be the Sports Ambassador as I enjoy playing lots of sport and hopefully can help others enjoy sport as well.''
Ellen was asked how she would like to make a change to sport, “I would like to get more girls involved with different sports.”
Both Ellen and Matthew are planning to organise a inter- school house group tag rugby tournament during lunchtime. Mr Boswell, our Sports Assistant will be supervising them with the planning and leading of the event.

Football match vs Killigrew
Yesterday the boys A football team played a very evenly matched
game against Killigrew. The game started well for Bernards Heath with a headed goal by
Noah and an excellent shot by Teddy in the first half to make the score 2-0 at
half time. Killigrew fought back hard in the second half and scored two goals
to make the final score 2-2. Matthew made some fantastic saves, including a penalty.

Netball Club 2014
Good to see everyone at club this week.

End of Season Tournament 22nd March - this will involve the Yr 6 team only.
